Gelos Duo is an emerging, young and vibrant chamber music project established by Lithuanian pianist Monika Palsauskaite and Spanish saxophonist Francisco Sanchez with a commitment to expand classical saxophone and piano repertoire and was formed in 2016 at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, where both members were doing their Masters of Music Performance programmes.
The Duo already had an opportunity to work with such renowned musicians as Arno Bornkamp, Scott Michell, Josef Pacewicz and Aaron Shorr and in 2017 joined Live Music Now scheme.
Gelos Duo combines a wide variety of repertoire, from romantic period to the music of the contemporaries. In the duo’s concerts you will have a chance to hear not only master pieces written for saxophone and piano but also the transcriptions of the world famous masterworks!
